Unicage will be attending the 1st Whorkshop on High-Performance and Reliable Big Data (HPBD’21) , held virtually on September 20th, 2021. The HPBD’21 workshop focuses on Big Data applications and the impacts of applicational data volumes and storage.
Unicage has submitted a joint paper with Professor Miguel L. Pardal from Instituto Superior Técnico, demonstrating the benefits of the Unicage technology stack applied to smart metering. In this use case, Unicage is used to process and validate millions of XML files in less than 10 minutes. These files contain different types of readings sent by millions of smart meters in a grid. Following the execution of the batch, data was aggregated and used to produce detailed analytics for the client.
The case-study will be shared on September 20th in the HPBD’21 workshop, on the same location as the 40th International Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems (SRDS 2021). The registration is free of charge and can be made through the following link: SRDS Registration (google.com) .
